I’m Josh. I’m overweight, and I woke up one day in the worst shape of my life, and nearing fifty years old. So I challenged myself. In two years can I be in the best shape of my life? Is setting such a tough goal a smart thing to do? Would you believe me if I said I understand the trap of setting deadlines to being healthy and I am moving forward anyway? Bring it on, fifty. Bring it on.

The Dreaded BEFORE Pictures

You want to know how I know that I’m in a decent place mentally? I am voluntarily posting photos of myself. Unsympathetic, humbling photos that normally would set me in a downward spiral of self loathing and ice cream eating. Though not today. Not right now. This is me, November 12th, 2025. 48 years old. 295 pounds. Bad knees, bad heels, bad wrists, zero core. On the bright side, I’m actually down 35 pounds since 6 months ago. So yeah, this could have been worse.
