I’m Josh. I’m overweight, and I woke up one day in the worst shape of my life, and nearing fifty years old. So I challenged myself. In two years can I be in the best shape of my life? Is setting such a tough goal a smart thing to do? Would you believe me if I said I understand the trap of setting deadlines to being healthy and I am moving forward anyway? Bring it on, fifty. Bring it on.

Sharing My Two Month Progress Photos

November 12, 2025 is when I shared photos of myself. Photos that I hate. Photos that embarrass me. Yet if I want to chronicle this journey to a better me, I can’t hide where I began. Over the past few months I have been fine tuning and changing up my workouts. Adjusting and pushing my limits. I have a lot to learn and a lot to fix. Right now I am dedicating a lot of my time to updating my diet. I want to ensure I am getting the correct balance of protein and carbs. Making sure I am eating enough vegetables and good fats and fruits and water. But enough of all that, I am hesitating and delaying sharing progress pictures. It’s like reading an online recipe. The author shares their life story and muses about what mushrooms mean to them. Only then do they share the actual recipe. So here we are, two months since the initial photos and 41 pounds gone.

A LONG way to go on this journey but I am enjoying the ride so far. And when I reach the young age of fifty, my journey will continue for many years after.
